Free hot springs in Lombardy

Free hot springs are very rare in northern Italy, and Lombardy has two very different examples. High in the Valtellina, above Bormio, the Pozza di Leonardo collects the hot water flowing down from the historic spas and offers a hot soak among the mountains. On Lake Garda, at Sirmione, the sulphurous water of the Boiola spring mixes with the lake near the Lido delle Bionde.
