Free hot springs in Sardinia

Sardinia is famous for its sea, but inland it hides thermal springs known since Roman times. Along the Tirso and Coghinas rivers hot water rises at temperatures sometimes above 50 °C, feeding ancient pools and natural basins.

Information on Sardinia's free hot springs is not always up to date, so we have been transparent about the status of each place. The San Saturnino pools at Benetutti are freely accessible, while for Fordongianus and Casteldoria we recommend checking conditions before you go.
